A lot of the island is just as I left it 2 years ago when I came for my open water and advanced open water courses. There are a few new resorts and construction projects happening but this place already feels like home.
After 3 day and over 24 hours spent on a van/bus I have finally arrived on the island of Koh Tao. The turquoise waters were certainly a welcomed sight, as were the smiling faces at Ban's Dive shop where I will be diving for the next 2 months as I work towards my dive masters certification. For the first 4 days I will be staying in Ban's free accommodation while I complete my EFR and Rescue Dive courses, then I will be getting my own apartment and will start my master diver training.
