Just after my rescue courses were through I had to move from the free Ban's housing into a monthly rental. It was too easy to find a place, especially since it is low season here on the island. I simply went into the office and asked where I should look for a place and BAM, a phone call was made and I was moving in that evening. My bungalow is in a place called Navy Houses, which is apparently a coveted place to be. I can see why, as it is set off the main beach strip, which is quiet, and they are clean and have hot water and a small kitchenette. It's about a 5 minute walk to the beach and 10 minute walk to Ban's, which is a pain sometimes, but lets be honest, its not bad.
The worst thing about the place is the alarm clock outside of my bungalow every morning. 6AM sharp, without fail. Good thing I am kind of an early riser anyway, but sometimes I find myself counting down the days until the Thai families around me cook up that damn rooster for dinner.
Anyway, I honestly could not be happier about my living arrangements for the time being. My dive master course is already underway, and I am meeting a lot of fun and wonderful people.
